My name is Damon Janis and I’m guilty of bringing Quest to life.

Several years ago I sat down with my real estate mentor Chuck Maley to find some investment properties to buy. Each time he found a potential property it took about 20 minutes to run an evaluation to see if it was a good investment or not.

Watching over his shoulder, I was going crazy. There had to be a better way. It’s just numbers after all. Given that I taught myself how to program software when I was 12, received a Computer Science degree from BYU, and have been a professional software engineer for over 20 years I set out to build a web site that would make it fast and easy.

Quest was born and what used to take 20 minutes now takes 2 minutes.

Teaching

If all I did was write software, author books, and invest in real estate that would be great. But wait, there’s more. I’m a volunteer seminary teacher of 20 high school juniors in my church. Quest is part of Lifestyles Unlimited, an education and mentor group for real estate investing that has been in business since 1990. We teach people everything about real estate investing from single-family properties to huge 600 unit apartment complexes.

We also help our members find, evaluate, negotiate, finance, close, rehab, lease, and manage their investment properties.
